Journals of Lieutenant-Commander Alexander Herbert Macleod Burton from the period 1914 - 1919:

Journal kept by Burton on the cruiser HMS BLONDE (1910) in home waters, between 26 July 1914 and 31 August 1916. The volume also has some notes on French history and the Napoleonic Wars, circa 1774-1807.

Register book for confidential books and documents used by Burton while in command of the monitor HMS M.19 (1915) in the Eastern Mediterranean. It also contains a journal covering the period between 27 March 1919 (when the M.19 was paid off at Mudros) and 22 October 1919.
