Notebook with a diary lept by Davey between 26 December 1854, when he entered the Royal Navy at Devonport, and 23 May 1869, when he was serving on the armoured frigate HMS NORTHUMBERLAND (1866), leaving the Nore for Madeira.

Card pages from a photograph album, with mounted albumen prints showing the NORTHUMBERLAND and other warships, details of figureheads, and topographical scenes, mainly in the Plymouth area, including various lighthouses, Picklecombe Fort, the Royal Albert Bridge at Saltash, the Royal Marines Barracks and Naval Hospital.
