Alert' (1856), 'Discovery' (1873) and 'Valorous' (1851) anchored in Disco Harbour, Godhaven

Alert' (1856), 'Discovery' (1873) and 'Valorous' (1851) anchored in Disco Harbour, Godhaven, between 6 July and 15 July 1875. During this time the stores and coal from 'Valorous' were transferred to the 'Alert' and 'Discovery'. The crew were allowed ashore to explore and relax. At the same time magnetic observations were made, geological and botanical samples collected.
