A journal of HMS IMPERIEUSE while the flagship of the China Station; a journal of HMS ROYAL ARTHUR in 1897 the flagship of the Australian Station; and HMS EXCELLENT journal kept by George William Thorpe through out his carrier. In the journals he includes notes, poems and newspaper clippings. Some dates and titles of the newspapers are in Morse code.
