Journal of HMS LONDON and HMS GLADIATOR, by Francis S Thompson, Acting Mate then Mate, January 1 1854 to October 22 1855. The GLADIATOR, an early paddle steamer, was one of the vessels at Sebastopol, and Thompson's journal gives a detailed description of the defences, as well as some illustrative coastal views. Also provides an overview of the fittings of both vessels.
