Diary kept by Andrew Crawford as a passenger on board the PATRIARCH and CUZCO, 1885.

Notebook containing a diary kept by Andrew Crawford entitled 'A Trip to the Antipodes', covering the period 7 March to 10 August 1885. Crawford and his wife Jessie travelled from London to Sydney on the Aberdeen White Star Line iron sailing ship PATRIARCH (1869). Their return passage from Melbourne to London via the Suez Canal was on the Orient Line iron screw steamship CUZCO (1871). It closes with a comparison between passenger facilities on sail and steam ships.
