Journal kept by Samuel Atkins, commencing 10 December 1680. It gives an account of the proceedings of HMS CROWNE in the Mediterranean, escorting merchant ships threatened by corsairs, and also covers his life in London as Chief Clerk under Pepys, 1684-1688.
