Diary and note book kept during sledge travelling by William T. Mumford in HMS RESOLUTE. The events include the abandonment of the RESOLUTE on 15 May 1854 and the commencement of the journey towards Beechey Island. The diary includes several sketches and coastal views and a sketch of a knife inscribed 'Franklin.'
