The next stop is Madras, where among the passengers who disembark are two maids who are looking for husbands; apparently they soon got married. Barlow gives details of the war between the East India Company and the Great Mogul.
Page 260 (verso): From top to bottom: "Cape Roseffgall" on the coast of Arabia (possibly Ras al Hadd?); "Cape Jesquets" at the entrance to the Gulf of Persia; the "High Land of St. John" and "Volintin's Peak" (Valentine's Peak) near Bombay; "Cape Averella" on the coast of "Couchen China" (Vietnam); Adams Peak, Sri Lanka.
